What A Night

So you ask, what could possibly require a $500 dollar bar bill and a cab ride home from the city? The Goo Goo Dolls BABY…

I have now figured out what cigarette companies are good for…throwing parties. The concert was actually put on by Marlboro. It was their 50 year anniversary so they put on a concert in 50 cities across the country. We got the Goo Goo Dolls in San Francisco. However, they showed us Lenny Kravitz from New York, John Cougar from Chicago and Aerosmith in Los Angeles on the big screen before the Goo Goo Dolls started.

It was actually a pretty perfect night…I made dinner for my sister, her husband and their friends. I made a spicy Peruvian chicken dish which turned out great. We had a few cocktails and then walked to the subway. I would have taken the subway home, but it only runs until 12:30 AM (stupid I know). The show was in a small venue and only 500 people were invited. We were right next to the stage for the entire concert…not to mention we had the best waitress in the world. She actually found us in the crowd after the show started to see if we wanted more drinks…of course we did.

Since the show ran past 12:30 AM, we decide to continue the party at a local bar before taking a cab home. A few hundred drinks later and we were all in a cab on the way back to my place. Sure there were a few sick people, but what party doesn’t have that. Overall it was a great night…wish you were there.

Luv U Sista
