What a week. I felt like it must be Friday on Tuesday. I have been very busy and spent way to much time on the road. It was a successful week, but I would prefer not coming home at 7 PM every night and feeling like I need to go to bed. Some of that is the exhaustion of work and some is the fact that I returned from Virginia with bronchitis. Well at least I am pretty sure it's bronchitis. My two fellow travel mates have already been to the doctor and they both have it. Chances are that the hacking cough I've had is also bronchitis. I have a doctor’s appointment next week to confirm and get the appropriate antibiotics.
I am pretty sure we either got it from one of our other classmates, as she wasn't well for the last week, or we got it in the great incubator that is a commercial aircraft. I love plane travel. They circulate the air so that any germs can make sure to infect the whole plane. One passenger with a cold will infect the whole plane on a 6 hour flight. I am sure they must have better bio filters available, but they are cost prohibitive and they don’t care if they infect a plane load of passengers with the flu.
Now that the week is over, I can concentrate on what I am doing this weekend…oh, that’s right…no plans. Some of my family is going camping, but I think all of you know how I feel about that ridiculous right of passage. They won’t even have running water there, let alone room service. There is a golf event on Monday at one of my favorite courses. That might be a possibility. I was thinking of seeing the Fantastic 4 movie. Not going to see War of the Worlds. I would be interested in anyone’s opinion on either of the movies – assuming you have seen them of course. Other than that, no big plans this weekend. Anyone got any ideas on how I can amuse myself for three days1.
I hope you all have a great weekend…doing whatever lights your sparkler…shoots your rocket…lights up your sky…you get my point. Be safe and enjoy the weekend.
