It's Monday - I Can Tell

My boss resigned today. My new boss is in Seattle. I really don’t like starting a new job and having the person who hired me quit after two months. I didn’t interview with the guy who will now be my boss. That is what the interview process is for. So you can get to know the people who will have control over your professional life. I have barely spoken to him in two months. Now I have to work for him. Not the way I wanted to start my week.

Let me recap…my boss quit. They moved the guy who has my job in Seattle to a different position so I am now the only one doing this job in our entire group. I am not sure what that means to be honest. But I am sort of limited in my options. I can’t exactly find another job. I am under a weird contract for 12 months. If I leave before then, I have to pay them back the money they spent to move me here and I don’t want to know how much that was.

The only good news is that I am currently averaging about 10 calls a month form recruiters and countless emails. I guess if they decide to let me go, I would be able to find new employment relatively quickly. I am not panicking right now, but I the red flags are a flying.
