A Friday Update

Update on my Friday.

• Time in line waiting for safety and smog checks – 120 minute
• Time for safety and smog checks – 30 minutes
• Costs for safety and smog checks - $66.00
• Time wasted driving back home to get proof of insurance – 25 minutes
• Time in information line at DMV – 15 minutes
• Number of people shocked to find out that you need a birth certificate or passport to get a drivers license (I mean I have a valid license from CA.) – 2 (me and the people behind me who also recently moved to VA.)
• Approximate wait time at DMV to register vehicle – 120 minutes
• Chance I was going to wait – NONE

I am assuming the DMV is a little less crowded if you go after the end of the month when all the slackers are trying to get their stuff done at the last minute. I will wait until next week and go before work. The rest of the day spent doing laundry, cleaning apartment, cooking steak filets on my indoor grill (thanks K&T – best gift ever), and drinking a pretty good bottle of cab. Maybe I will go out for a shot of tequila later.

Hopefully there will be a get together tomorrow night of bloggers…if not at least we have the wine festival on Sunday. Peace
