I am not really sure what to say about the DMB concert last night. It was
WET,
WET,
WET!
The timing was perfect. The rain started about 5 minutes before Dave came on stage and did not let up for an hour. The people around us seemed to enjoy the rain. Many, many people were sliding down the 20 foot hill into the rushing water along the walkway. It was a big slip-n-slide with a very hard stop.
But eventually, the clouds parted, a star appeared (only one and I am sure it was Mars or some other planet), and the night cleared. Of course by then I was soaked, TG was soaked, we were all soaked. Now if I sound like I am complaining – I’m not - or if you are starting to feel sorry for me – don’t.
First we knew it was supposed to rain and we came somewhat prepared. I didn’t have an umbrella or a poncho, but I did have a change of clothes, which made the ride home a bit more comfortable. Secondly, we had a great time before the concert. It was a relatively traffic and stress free ride to the venue. We sat around drinking home made sangria and eating munchies listening to music. We found a great spot on the hill even though we went in later than most.
And of course the music was great.
I told TG last night that this is the second time I have seen DMB and both time have been from the lawn seats. The next time I go to witness the DMB in person, I would like to do it from one of the seats near the stage. The covered seats near the stage.
