Frequent Flyer

I am in Seattle the rest of the week. I spend almost as much time there as I do in Virginia. I don't mind as it has been raining every day here and the weather is supposed to be beautiful in Seattle this week. Betcha never thought you would hear someone want to go to Seattle for the weather, right?

My son wants me to go to dinner with him and some of his friends this week. Sometimes he really isn’t your typical young adult. I didn’t invite my dad out with my friends ever. Maybe it is just the changing times. Should be fun. I have met some of his friends in the past and he is typically a good judge of character. I don’t think we will be having a $50 steak this trip though. More like a $5 value meal.

I come back on Friday, just in time for a four day weekend. Man I love my job sometimes. My friends are driving into town on Saturday and then the fun will ensue. My first real houseguests and I am truly not ready. That is OK, they are close friends and will understand.

We are hoping to see the DC fire works up close. I hear it is just as good from Arlington, so we may try and go there and not fight the traffic and security trying to get into our nation’s capital. Not much else planned, but I am sure we will venture into DC either Sunday or Monday. Anyone know some cool neighborhoods to walk around in? You know what I like…shopping, eating, drinking.

So, in case I don’t have time or the inkling to write later this week…have a great weekend all.
