This is it. My last day at work. The last two weeks seemed to fly by. I don’t feel like I finished everything I needed to do. There is also the feeling that I am abandoning my teams. Maybe that is because there is no one to replace me yet. Maybe it is just the natural feeling that comes with ending a job you like and knowing that you probably won’t see any of the people you have worked with, struggled with and become successful with, ever again. Either way, leaving a job is always sad.
But then there is the excitement that follows from starting a new job. I have even more to do to try and get ready to move. It is a long list and less than two weeks until my pack date.
On a “that is great timing” note…my oldest buddy in the world, who lives about 45 miles from where I am moving, is actually coming here next week for a conference. Strange timing, as he will be here the week before I head out in his direction permanently. I am sure more will follow on that later.
I am going to the basketball game tonight. One of my sales teams is going to the game. It is not really a goodbye Blue thing, but it sort of turned into that. Then of course I have the last party at my place tomorrow. Yep, many things to do…starting with going to work and turning in all my crap. **a small tear forms in the corner of my eye**
Have a great weekend all.
