The pursuit of happiness:
A state of mind
That is indefinable
And mystifying

The pursuit of love:
A state of mind
That is elusive
And euphoric

The pursuit of knowledge:
A state of mind
That is eternal
And wanting

The pursuit of wealth:
A state of mind
That is consuming
And tiresome

The pursuit of contentment:
A state of mind
That is capricious
And fleeting

The pursuit of my true self:
A state of mind
That is introspective
And egocentric
