I have to fly up to New York this morning, returning this afternoon. I arrived at National airport, picked up my boarding pass, breezed through security, and then walked right on the plane. No lines anywhere. I left my house 50 minutes before my flight and am now having to wait on the plane for it to take off.
The planes only has maybe 25 people on it as well. Mostly old white guys who also look like they are making a day trip to NYC. You know the type, business suits, balding or managing a great comb over, reading the Wall Street Journal and trying to look important. OK, so that could describe me today as well, without the reading or the pretentiousness. I don't have time to read, I got a bagel to eat.
I am not sure I have ever had such an easy travel day, let's hope the gods aren't saving all my travel problems for the trip home this afternoon.
