A Lot of Nothing

I haven’t written much since the great cell phone wars of July. I should mention that my last post was actually an email I sent to the CEO of my wireless company. He emailed me back and then had an executive on his staff call me. At least he tried. I am over the whole thing now and just looking forward to a few months without having to call customer service. So far, so good.

I spent last weekend out of town visiting K&T in Scary Village. I always enjoy visiting them as it gives me a chance to go to the country and do nothing. We did go shopping in New Hope on Saturday and you know how I enjoy shopping. I bought a few things between bar stops. I also cemented myself as one of the best pools players to ever wander into Scary Village. I was again undefeated for the night despite the numerous shots of tequila they poured down my throat.

I drove up on Friday and since I had a few hours to kill before they got home from work, who works on Fridays, I decided to try the local golf course. I got paired up with some real Jersey guys. True local boys with true local color. Tony Soprano would have been proud. I am always amazed where stereo types are realized.

I have plans this weekend as well. I am headed to Baltimore tomorrow night for a wine tasting and then a few nights of debauchery with my buddy RJ. I have known him since I was 18 years old and although we only live an hour away from one another, we don’t seem to get together much. One thing is for sure, I will get my fill of strip clubs this weekend. RJ’s bar of choice comes with naked women. It is hard to argue with his choice. The drinks are strong, the girls are naked and they make a great burger. What more could you ask for?

I am still working on settling into the new condo as well. The blinds and curtain quote almost gave me a heart attack. I have to shop around and buy in phases. I also got some new furniture and still need to get a new book shelf and order my chair. Decorating is so expensive.

I will be in Seattle next week for a few days. I have grown fond of the city since I started going there with this job. I don’t even mind the 5 hour flight if I can spend a few days downtown.

I need to go home as I got to work way to early today. I was here by 8:00 AM. Normally I stroll in around 10:30 AM. I am very low on energy now and still want to stop at the store on the way home. I need food.
