Let's Catch Up

So I haven’t written much in the last week or so. I have been a little busy. So here is the reader’s digest version.

I became an adult again this weekend…yep I bought a condo. So now I owe more money than I could make in 3 years. Of course one of the companies I was talking with about moving to Europe contacted me Monday after I singed the contract. Should I still take the interview?

I finally got out on the golf course last weekend. The weather has really turned here and summer seems to have begun. What is your favorite Summer pastime?

The Jag spent the last few days in the shop. Nothing major, but I needed the head lights changed as well as the cooling system flushed. Speaking of the Jag, I have it on Craig’s List for sale right now. I am just seeing if I get any takers. I only have one parking spot in the new condo, so I am thinking of selling both and buying something new. What should I get?

K comes into town this weekend so we can go to the Nats/Mets game on Saturday. It is the first of my 12 games this season. I bought into a season ticket package. Do you have season tickets to anything?

One of my friends was very sick all last week – stomach virus. She spent 7 hours in the emergency room getting fluids. I sent her some flowers and chicken soup. Someone told me she might take that as though I am interested in her. I think she knows I am not, but what do you think?

Work has been tough this week as the project I have been working on got delayed at the last minute. I am very frustrated with the whole thing. How do you deal with frustration at work?

My cell phone company, and former employer, can’t seem to get my bill correct. They charge me an extra $50 a month which causes me to spend an hour on the phone to get it straightened out. Same thing for 4 months now. How long do I have to put up with it before I can say screw employee loyalty?

I sold my first thing on Craig’s List this week. Some golf equipment I won in a tournament. Now I need to get rid of a lot of things. I figure I will get rid of things rather than move them in June. You want to buy any of my junk?

Some girl from Mexico has been emailing me on Match. I get about one email a week from someone who is not in the US from places as far away as Egypt and Russia. Apparently my profile screams “I am looking for a mail order bride.” How far is too far for a long distance relationship?

I got all the ingredients so I can start my Detox in a Box next week. Anyone want to do this torture routine with me?

I will be in NJ for a day next week and then Orlando for most of the week after. After that Seattle and Los Angeles for a week. Going to be a busy month of May. You headed anywhere soon?

That’s about it. Enjoy the rest of the week.

First of all. Thank you for the donation. I appreciate it.

If you really were interested in the job before you bought the condo, then I say take the interview.

My favorite summer pastime, is the summer concerts outdoors with friends and a beer in your hand. Our a baseball game with friends. Friends are the proverbial word in this mix.

How about you give me the Jag, and the other car? Ok no...how about a nice hybrid car so you can do your part to save the world from global warming, that Bush thinks is a figment of our imagination.

I can't afford season tickets, let alone health insurance most of the time.

I have a couple of close guy friends, and if they sent me flowers I would think the same thing of them as I would any of my girlfriends who would send me flowers and soup. What a thoughtful friend you are, and nothing more.

I deal with frustration at work, by going out for a night at the wine bar or sushi with co-workers who are equally frustrated at work. Or I just work out.

It has been 4 months, I would tell them that if they do not correct it, you will be taking your business elsewhere..as simple as that.

See answer to other question above. I can't afford anything. But if you want to give me a present my birthday is May 24th.

I don't think there is an exact distance on long distance, more like, how much work and commitment are you willing to put into a relationship? I have seen some people put more into a relationship while they were 2000 miles away (and now married 4 years) then some people who live down the street from one another.

What exactly is this torture detox routine? If its consuming large amounts of castor oil, count me out.

I am heading to Columbus in May. Then Philadelphia in June for my triathlon..and possibly Atlanta in September. Have fun on your trips..stop by Cleveland sometime soon.

You know this response is probably as long as your blog entry. Have fun reading it.

Congrats on the condo. If you can rent it out, then I'd say take the job interview. I'm not going anywhere any time soon, since I just got back from a fun trip and I don't travel for work. Anything may be "local," like Portland or Vancouver. It's kind of sad that a kind gesture like the flowers/soup is taken for an interest -- because it's just not the norm for us to do that for people nowadays. It's hard to say how she's take it b/c I think that depends on your history/friendship.

Ok Riddler:
- Go on the interview....you wanted the job before you can always rent out the condo for money (or for free to me =)besides i could total go for brunch overseas
- laying at the pool or beach vegging out with a book in one hand and a drink in the other
- I agree with Kris give me the Jag. I have no idea about cars so I can't tell you what to buy.
- 1st of all - Go Yankees! No season tickets but go to a couple of yankee games a year and get to use Toyota Guys cousins wife Raven season tickets since she only likes to go to a couple of games a year and went to the new Baltimore profession indoor football league....it's like foos ball for football with real people
- I think that you are a really good friend who is very thoughtful.
- MARTINI's
- screw it....who wants to talk to customer service once a month
***man I'm tired of typing***
- I have enough junk and no room with a little brother moving in rent free on Monday for a couple of months. Can you sell little brothers on ebay? and if Kris is correct and you're buying bday presents mine is May 13th
- you like to travel and she could be part of the 3% why lessen the percentage by adding in location!
- no it sounds like torture but I did start using my treadmill again today and will cook more with the brother living in the house
- see you love to travel!!! Cruise to bermuda memorial day week

I'm exhausted.....no more typing!!!

Your cell phone company has you on the phone for an hour to iron out the bill? Let me think: .39/minute x 60 = 23.40. If they don't resolve it that first time, you have to call back again for 23.40 more. The probably figure it is worth giving you a credit because now, they have reamed you for almost the amount you called to dispute!

Congrats on the condo! Whether you stay in it or rent it out, it is a great investment, especially considering the market around here. Also, I have heard that Metro is supposed to come out here by 2015! Real estate should skyrocket then (crossing fingers).

Selling any art? I'll come take a look! You know I am a sucker for art and stuff I don't need. And NOW, can easily afford it since I have numerous freelance gigs, my fed tax return and a likely job at Networks Solutions starting soon.
