A Word from the Edge of the World

Just thought I would update you all as I sit here on what used to be considered the edge of the world. Well that was until Columbus sailed and proved the world was not flat. Yes I am in Portugal. Did you know Columbus died thinking he had found a new route to India? He had no idea he had found a new world.

I am on the very south west tip of Portugal staring at the Atlantic Ocean. We are headed to Lisbon in a few days and then back to Madrid. So far the trip has been great. I am amazed at how small the streets are in some of these towns...literally a car can barely pass through them. I have the pictures to prove it. Anyway, I need to venture down to the beach and watch some old fisherman do what they do. More to come on my return.
