Seinfeld It's Not

So I have been communicating with two women on Match so far. I have met Match Girl #1 (MG1) and we have been on three dates. As you recall, it turned out that she worked for the same company as me, worked in the same building and was only one floor above me. That has since changed as she accepted a job with another company. We haven’t seen each other for a while and have only exchanged one email since our third date.

I started exchanging emails with another girl on match a few weeks ago. We have a lot in common and so far I found her to be very interesting. We spoke on the phone last week for the first time and everything was very promising. Well…I got this from her on Sunday as I was driving back from NJ.

Hi Blue944,

The world just got a lot smaller! I had dinner with a good friend of mine last night... MG1...the co-worker from that you met on Match! I have known MG1 for over 10-years--we used to work together and have remained friends ever since. So that being the case, it would be too awkward if you and I were to date. I wish you the best of luck in your search on Match!

Match Girl #2

That must have been some dinner conversation. Awkward…I’ll say. What am I supposed to say to MG1 the next time we speak? I feel like I am living in a bad sitcom. I mean really, I meet two girls on Match and they know each other. If this was a sitcom, I guess I would have a date with both of them on the same night. That would be funny alright.

I guess I am one damn lucky guy. Time to buy lotto tickets.

lThat is a strange conversation. I'm not sure how that would come up, considering how few dates you went on either one (I wouldn't even go into a lot of details with a friend until further along).

unless they meet semi-regularly to compare notes on the men that they date, that's just plain weird.

not that it's not weird if they do meet semi-regularly to compare notes on the men that they date.

in fact, it's just weird.

i'm totally stealing it.

outside of that, though, why would it be awkward? and they wonder why they're alone.
