España Aquí Yo Vengo

The dates are set…I finally decided to go ahead and buy the tickets and stop waiting for a good price, especially since it doesn’t seem like air fare is coming down anytime soon. You have no idea how much they are charging you for gas when you fly now. Anyway…

I got the tickets yesterday. Eleven days in lovely Spain and Portugal. Nick and I have decided NOT to plan out every second of our vacation. We are going to play it by ear, so if we decide to go to Greece or London, we will just get on the train and go. I know I will be landing in Madrid on November 2 and flying home from Madrid on November 11, in between is anyone’s guess.

Still a few things to do to get ready for the trip though. I need to get my passport updated. I will send it off this weekend. We need a backpack or two, as we are not taking luggage. We need a Eurorail pass. We should find a hotel for the first night or two in Madrid before we head somewhere else. But other than that…

I guess it is time to start brushing up on my Spanish. Here are a few phrases that will come in handy.
Tráiganos dos más bebidas. (Bring us two more drinks)
¿Qué es el mejor restaraunt en el pueblo? (What is the best restaraunt in town?)
¿Dónde están todas las mujeres en? (Where are all the women at?)

Anyway…to all my readers I say…Tenga un fin de semana agradable (have a great weekend).
