It really is a Blue Christmas

I got some sad news this week. One of my favorite bloggers took down her site this week. IndependentGirl has decided that she no longer wishes to maintain her site. I have personally enjoyed reading about this Pittsburgh girl living in Baltimore. I was fortunate enough to meet IG in the real world on a trip back east. It allowed me to put a face and a personality to her words. I found her charming and beautiful in person. Reading her posts had already told me she was intelligent, compassionate and funny. I will miss her insightful comments, the stories about her friends and family and the way she loved the Steelers. I'm not entirely sure why she has decided to quit writing. I emailed her and she ensured me she plans to visit her friends in blogland, so I will at least have the chance to read her comments on all of your work. I wish her the best...and I wish you all a great Holiday Season.
