Yes I'm still alive...

I know it has been a week or so since I wrote anything and much longer since I wrote anything interesting. It has been a long month and a half for me. I'm finally moved into my new place, although there is still much work to do. I have come to the conclusion that every five years or so, I should get rid of everything I own and start from scratch. I rather enjoy the experience I've had for the last few months of shopping for all new things. I'm not done my a long stretch, but so far it has been very enjoyable.

As an update, I am sitting in my loft on my new couch with my feet on the new rug I bought. I can see my new bedroom set (is a bed, nightstand and dresser a set?), listening to my new stereo while watching sports on my old TV (getting new TV for Christmas). I found a store going out of business and bought a coffee table, rug and lamp all for 80% off. I have found that in the retail world unless you are getting more than 50% off, it is not really a bargain. I still need so much though. I had a good laugh this afternoon when I decided to make myself a tuna sandwich and realized I had no way to open the can. OK, that might not seem funny to you, but I laughed for a few minutes about it. It might have been the mental image of me pounding the can with a hammer and screwdriver trying to get to the tuna.

I have been seriously slacking at work this week though. One reason is that I do not have Internet access at my place yet and I've had to spend an inordinate amount of time at my place during the day this week to let people in for this and that...pool table construction, couch delivery, Internet access, Direct TV etc. They were supposed to install my Internet access yesterday, but it turns out my line of sight is blocked by the freeway so they weren't sure it would work (I'm using a wireless microwave connection). They are coming back tomorrow to try again. No Internet for the last week has really cramped my style and not just because I could not surf for porn. I had two Fantasy Football drafts this week and I was not really prepared for them because I was web challenged. I have basically been trying to do my work by strictly using my BlackBerry. I was able to get by, but I don't recommend this as a long term solution for web access. I will definitely have to go into my office on Monday as I'm now way behind this month. Good thing I kicked ass last month and sold 281% of quota. Things will get back to normal for me in a few weeks.

I am excited about my new satellite TV and the football package that comes with it. All the games every week right at my fingertips. This is my first year with satellite and full football access. Normally I am forced to watch the local teams play and most of the Raider games are blacked out. Shitty Raiders can't even sell out their games. The only thing about having this much access to the NFL is that I feel like I need to stay home on Sundays and watch the games. I mean I'm paying for it. So Sundays will consist of 9 hours of football, starting tomorrow.

Well that is about it for now. I'm supposed to go over to the City and see Bullet in the park in an hour. It is a free movie in Deloros park. I love Steve McQueen and this should be fun.
